Richard Alvin "PawPaw" Meek

Bonham, Tx.-- Richard Alvin "PawPaw" Meek, age 76, passed peacefully to join the Lord, Monday August 13, 2007 at his home in Bonham. Born to Virgil T. Meek and Pauline Morris Meek on October 5, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas. Richard married Joann Hope McAnney on April 5, 1979 in Eldon, Mo. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2003. Mr Meek served in the US Navy during the Koprean War, followed by 31 years of service with the FAA.
 
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Friday at the First Assembly of God Church in Bonham, where Mr. Meek held his church membership.Pastor Eddie Ober will be officiating. Interment next to his parents will be Saturday at 11 AM at the Rice cemetery near Cameron, Tx. The family will receive friends at 1 PM at the church prior to the service.
 
Richard is survived by his daughter Kathy Meek of Paris, Tx., Stepchildren Becki Polk of Deleware, Dan McAnney, Jim McAnney both of New Jersey.Brothers, Jimmy Meek of Oklahoma, Jack Fortner of Moody, Tx., Brother-in-law Roy Clark of Bonham, sister-in law Barbara Meek of Tyler, Tx., and 9 grandchildren.
 
Pallbearers will be nephews Robert Meek and Mathew Meek and great-nephews Lee Clark, Stephen Clark, Taylor Clark, Jonathan Pharr, Andrew Hensley and Noah Hensley.
