Babers, Structure Personnel fall in CBI semifinals

WADSWORTH, Ohio - Southeastern Oklahoma State's Eric Babers scored six points, pulled down five boards and dished out three assists, but his Structure Personnel squad fell 105-101 to Galaxy Friday afternoon at the 2007 Collegiate Basketball Invitational Championship.

Galaxy will play tonight's winner between WRH Health System and Louis Perry & Associates for the title at noon on Saturday.

Central Missouri's Zack Wright poured in a game-high 23 points and Jontae Vinson of California State-Los Angeles added 18, while Freeman Taylor of Robert Morris (Ill.) chipped in with 13, Montevallo's Greg Brown pumped in 12 points and Barton's Anthony Atkinson scored 10.

Leading the way for Structure Personnel was Tarleton State's John Davis with 24 points. Antonio Fitzgerald of St. Augustine's added 16, while Christian Burns of Philadelphia chipped in 15 points and Michael Bonaparte added 12 points.

The Collegiate Basketball Invitational is a major national basketball event that gathers the finest 60 senior men's basketball players from all of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and Division III and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

The CBI will conclude with an all-star game Saturday evening in front of a live, ESPNU audience as 20 players will be selected to play in the game.
