Bachendorf’s hosts Texas Rangers' wives

While the Texas Rangers were on the field one recent evening, their wives turned their attention to charity at Bachendorf’s jewelry store in Highland Park for a preview of hand-selected pieces to be auctioned off as part of the Park Place Dealerships/Texas Rangers Triple Play.

The fourth annual Triple Play, a game show spectacular featuring all of the Texas Rangers players and coaches, benefits the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. The event is to be held on Sunday, June 18 at The Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.

Texas Rangers’ wives Leigh Teixeira, wife of first baseman Mark Teixeira, and Misty Blalock, wife of third baseman Hank Blalock, personally selected each piece of jewelry. Steve Bock, president of Bachendorf’s, was on hand to greet Leigh and Misty as well as Angela Showalter, Stacie Barajas, Heidi DeRosa, Ashlee Koronka, Dana Wilkerson, Katie Connor, and Debbie Jones.

Mark and Leigh Teixeira, along with Josh and Dana Lewin and Tom Hicks Jr., will serve as the Honorary Co-Chairs of the 2006 Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play. To purchase tickets to the event, call 817.273.5203 or visit www.texasrangers.com.

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation is dedicated to building homes for families through Habitat for Humanity as well as constructing youth baseball parks in the area. The Foundation has also created many youth incentive programs such as the Wells Fargo/Texas Rangers Rookie League and provided financial aid to more than 150 students to further their education through college scholarship programs.
