More than 400 people attended the Eighth Annual Park Place Dealerships/Dallas Stars Casino Night at Park Place Motorcars Dallas on February 2. Featuring Dallas Stars players and coaches as casino dealers, the event raised more than $100,000 for the Dallas Stars Foundation.

The Foundation supports local children’s charities that positively impact the lives of children through teamwork, interaction and education. As soon as guests stepped out of their cars at the valet, they encountered some of the most incredible cars lined up at the entryway of Park Place Motorcars Dallas: a $350,000 gleaming silver Rolls-Royce Phantom and a $330,000 ultra-luxurious Maybach flanked the grand entrance, along with a Bentley, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.

Entering the dealership, guests were greeted by an attendant pouring Lemon Drops (a specialty drink) thru a Dallas Stars ice sculpture. American Idol semi-finalist and Stars’ national anthemist Celena Rae and her Good Night Lovin’ Band belted out country tunes in one of the showrooms. This was a fan’s dream come true: Mike Modano, Bill Guerin, Marty Turco, in fact, all the Dallas Stars, were acting as casino dealers. They were accessible and very friendly. They signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.

Dallas Stars broadcasters Daryl Reaugh and Ralph Strangis hosted the live auction which featured such exclusive items as a Rolling Stones guitar signed by Mick Jaggar and Keith Richards, a framed hockey stick signed by the entire 1980 “Miracle on Ice” USA hockey team, a special edition X-Box 360 signed by Marty Turco, a framed Lance Armstrong jersey, and more.

Park Place Motorcars Dallas is located just southeast of Love Field at 6113 Lemmon Avenue. Founded in 1987, Park Place Dealerships is comprised of nine dealerships in Dallas/Fort Worth and two in Houston. Park Place represents high-end brands including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maserati, Lexus, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover and Jaguar.
