A&M-Commerce students named to Who's Who

COMMERCE, Texas-- Texas A&M University-Commerce students will be included in the 2006 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges."

These 30 students are among students from throughout the country to be featured in the directory. Students are chosen based on their academic achievements, extracurricular achievements, and their leadership roles on campus and in the community.

A campus nominating committee and the directory's editorial board select the students. To be recognized, for this honor, students must have a minimum of a 2.75 grade point average at the undergraduate junior or senior level or a 3.25 at the graduate level.

Inductees are business graduate student Zita Tiamuh of Commerce, senior social work major Emily Jeannette Huntington of Leonard, senior social work major Velvet Jordan of Royse City, elementary education graduate student Jennifer Diana Smith of Rowlett, and senior social work major Beverly Loss and agriculture graduate student Kenneth Loss, both of Wolfe City.

Also junior business administration major Sarah Rooney of Rockwall; senior health education major Misti Gaffney of Paris; senior journalism major Justin Acker of Plano; senior marketing major Shanique Fuller of Lancaster; senior biology major Adriane Atkins and senior journalism major Candace Turner, both of Garland; and junior marketing major Amber Ramoz, senior accounting major De'Ondra Irby, and senior political science major Michael Thomas Crawford Jr., all of Dallas.

Also senior early childhood generalist major Susan Bledsoe of Eustace, senior psychology and sociology major Jessica Coffey of Naples, senior athletic training major Kristy Aguirre of San Antonio, senior elementary education major Brittany Watters of Houston, senior animal science major Yvette Pedroza of El Paso, senior athletic training/health major Dana Tegeler of Brenham, and senior theatre arts major Donielle Ojeah of Austin.

Also, senior psychology major Eileen Rhoads of Atmore, Ala., supervision, curriculum, and instruction for higher education administration doctoral student Esther Robinson of Jonesboro, La., senior psychology major Catharina Carvalho of Recife, Brazil, and senior health and speech communications major Varlene Patricia Hartley of Hempstead.

Also, business graduate student Julie Murphy of Katy, senior interdisciplinary studies major Mary Mathews of Douglassville, higher education graduate student Dimitri Lyon of Miami, Fla., and secondary and higher education doctoral student Ka Sai Un of Tapia, Macau.
