Event open to women throughout the community
RICHARDSON, Texas (October 24, 2005) -- Countdown to Christmas, presented by The Heights Baptist Church, will be held Thursday, November 11. The evening features dinner, music, shopping, and motivational speaker Vicki Hitzges.
Open to the public, Countdown to Christmas features 50 vendors showcasing everything from culinary treats and clothing to toys and jewelry. Shopping kicks off at 5 pm and concludes at 10 pm.
Tickets are available at $10 per person and include dinner as well as Ms. Hitzges' presentation. To purchase tickets, visit www.theheights.org/womensministry.htm or call 972-238-7243. Guests will have the choice between two seated meal times, 6:00 pm and 6:30 p.m.
Ms. Hitzges will begin her presentation entitled "Christmas Cards" at 7:15 p.m. in the worship center.
"Vicki is a remarkable speaker who entertains and inspires," stated Kelly McBrayer, co-chair of Countdown to Christmas. "She has a great talent for making you think while at the same time making you laugh. Countdown to Christmas is a perfect outing with just the right mix of activities."
A great ladies night out with neighbors, co-workers and friends, this annual event draws nearly 900 women.
Located at 201 West Renner Road in Richardson, The Height Baptist Church offers an array of programs and ministries for women, men, children, youth, college students, and senior adults.
The Heights was founded in 1956 as an outreach mission from Park Cities Baptist Church. Originally located at Belt Line and Floyd Roads, the church has doubled in attendance since moving to the Renner Road location in 1996.
