HAVE YOU HUGGED YOUR COW TODAY?
PLANO, TX, – Go ahead, milk it for all it’s worth. That’s right, July 15 is Cow Appreciation Day and what better way to join the cow parade than by raising a spoon and pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to gratefully salute the cows in your life?
To celebrate the occasion, the Ben & Jerry’s in Plano at the Northwest Corner of Preston and Plano Parkway will be giving a free kid’s cone with any ice cream purchase on the menu or a $1 off any pint. Ice Cream Czar, Hunter Rose recommends the Vermonster, which he touts as the largest sundae available on the area’s menu’s. “The Vermonster is a decadent sundae made best for sharing,” explains Rose. “It includes 20 scoops of ice cream, frozen yogurt or sorbet, 4 bananas, 4 ladles of hot fudge, 3 chocolate chip cookies, 1 chocolate fudge brownie, 10 scoops of walnuts, 2 scoops of your 4 favorite toppings, and topped with lots of freshly moo-made whipped cream.” The Vermonster has its own special sundae cup and Rose admits that on more than one occasion, the Vermonster was ordered by a single individual.
Ben & Jerry’s appreciates Vermont cows so much, we pay the small dairy farmers who own them a premium not to inject them with synthetic growth hormones, called Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH), that can be harmful to cows, people and the environment. We work constantly with our suppliers to ensure that all of the ingredients used in our products – from cow to cone – are as wholesome as possible.
The Ben & Jerry’s flavor gurus have been hard at work down on the farm (or back in the Ben & Jerry’s flavor lab) with those wholesome ingredients, concocting new ways to tempt your tastebuds this summer. They spent days and nights mixing, blending, chopping, folding and pureeing until they came up with six unrivaled pints of pure ice cream indulgence.
These udderly delicious and completely unexpected new flavors will have you over the moon:
· The Gobfather™ (The Flavor You Can’t Refuseä)… Chocolate Ice Cream with Fudge-Covered Almonds & Nougat Swirl
