On Monday, evening, April 18, 2005, cadets, senior members and two prospective members of the Texoma Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, were given a sneak preview of the newly acquired T-37 jet trainer now on display in the museum.

After an introduction to the Perrin Air Force Base Museum, an exciting video of aeronautical flying skills, a tribute to our troops in Iraq, and the history of Perrin Field and Perrin AFB, members of the squadron were guests at the museum.
In concert with their aerospace education training program, each cadet was given "cockpit time" to view the controls, communications and a "see for real only inches away," a jet's full instrument panel as they sat in the former ejection seat in jet's cockpit.
