Main Street Presbyterian Church of Honey Grove invites you to its Annual Christmas Program.

The annual Community Christmas Carol Sing-Along at the lovely St. Mark church building at 8th and East Market Street in Honey Grove will be held on Sunday, December 15 at 3:00 p.m.

Join us for food, bounce houses, hot cocoa, games, prizes, music and more! Saturday, December 14 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The remodel of the building for Open Arms Homeless Shelter will soon be finished. The work that has been completed is due to the wonderful support from our community. Open Arms has been blessed with many donations of time, money, and goods. A special thanks to those who have helped get the shelter ready to open is planned.

Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County (CGK), an idea that literally began at a kitchen table shared by concerned friends, will soon become a reality. This 501(c)3 nonprofit will break ground Friday, December 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. and become the first kitchen in Collin County to prepare and serve meals to anyone struggling from food insecurity.

The 6th annual Spirit of Giving Community Christmas Party was held on the parking lot of the First Presbyterian Church of Bonham on November 23. Lots of new and gently used items which were given away, free of charge, to 438 men, women and children in attendance. It was a cold, but glorious day. Both volunteers and guests were richly blessed.

Open Arms Homeless Shelter is on schedule to open in January of 2020. The remodel of the building at 1205 Albert Broadfoot is almost complete. The kitchen is ready for installation of cabinets and fixtures. Bathrooms are now ready for plumbing work to be completed. Painting of the family rooms is in progress. Soon it will be time to start furnishing the building. It is so exciting to see the work being completed.

First Presbyterian Church of Bonham has plans to hold the sixth annual Spirit of Giving on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on their parking lot and would like to invite your church, civic organization, or business to join in this unique event.

Sunday, November 10, beginning with coffee and juice at 9:00 a.m.

First settled in 1836, few Texas towns can rival the rich history of Bonham. To give you an idea of the vital role churches have played in the heritage of this city, on Sunday, October 27, 2019, three historic churches held special events. One of those churches was founded in 1871 and another church was founded a year later in 1872. And the oldest of the three churches dates its modest beginning back to 1844 and a log cabin one block east of the Bonham Square.
