Printed From North Texas e-News == ntxe-news.com Farm/Ranch The Fannin Soil and Water Conservation District and the Bonham 4-H Club are again offering fruit, pecan, blackberry bushes and a limited variety of shade trees for the annual tree sales. The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used for youth activities, community service, and educational programs to benefit the citizens of Fannin County. The fruit trees that we have available are: Apple, Pear, Plum, Peach, Nectarine, Fig Apricot, Cherry, we also have Arapaho Thornless Blackberries and Pawnee and Choctaw pecan trees. The fruit tree prices are $12 each, 6 for $50 or 9 for $70. Cherry and Pecan trees are $20 each or 3 for $50. Blackberry bushes are 10 for $25 or 25 for $50. The deadline to order fruit trees is December 18, 2009 and the trees will be available to pick up January 8, 2010 at the USDA building in Bonham. The shade trees that we have available this year are Lace Bark Elm, Cedar Elm and Live Oak. These trees are $3 apiece and are 1 gallon potted trees approximately 3-4 ft. high. The deadline to order the shade trees is December 1 and the pick-up date is December 4, 2009.
