Printed From North Texas e-News == ntxe-news.com Sports The Dodd City Lady Hornets dropped game five against Sulphur Bluff to bring the Lady Hornets district record to 2-6. The error-plagued Hornets lost the first game 25-10, but had a strong second game winning 25-15. DC split with the Lady Bears the next two games 14-25, 28-26. In game five the Lady Hornets had 2 missed serves that helped the Lady Bears win 15-7. Freshman Briann Hilliard had a strong night on the net with 18 kills and 4 blocks. Freshman Alex Hilliard had 16 kills and 3 blocks. Sophomore Kaitlyn Massie had 8 digs and 2 aces. Senior Kayla Thompson had 5 digs and 17 assists on the night. Freshmen Christi Petty and Misty Goodin each had 10 digs a piece. M. Goodin also had 14 assists. Petty and Lexi Langford added 2 aces each. Freshman Rainy Goodin had 7 digs.
