Printed From North Texas e-News == ntxe-news.com Sports This past Thursday night, May 8, several of the Bonham boy's athletics class participated in the Purple Warriors 1st Annual "Night Of Champions."
The event marked the final testing period for the year in athletics. The Night of Champions was set up as a power-lifting competiton in two strength test; the bench press and squat. The evening also included a verticle "jump off" competition.
The weight lifting competiton was broken into seperate weight classes. The results were as follows.

The results of the Verticle jump off were as follows:
1st Place Myron Roundtree - 34 inches / 2nd Place J.T. Givens - 31.5 inches / 3rd Blain Dunlap - 31.5 inches.
Best Pound for Pound Bench in the Light Weight Divsion was Kris Kelly at 179% of own body weight.
Best Pound for pound Bench in the heavy weight division was Aaron Hughes at 150% of own body weight.
Best Pound for Pound squat in the light division was J.T. Givens at 284% of own body weight
Best Pound for Pound Squat in the Heavy weight division was Jake Stephens at 260% of own body weight
The best Pound for Pound lifter for the evening for both lifts was Kris Kelly at 453% of his own weight
The most improved athlete since December was J.T. Givens with a total increase of 170 pounds
