Dr. Doug Wood will offer a fascinating audiovisual presentation of his birding trip to Malaysia and Borneo during summer 2019. He will show photos of birds, mammals, reptiles, habitat, and more from his trip. Dr. Wood will include discussion about Malaysia and Borneo with regards to conservation issues, animal behavior, and global birding. If time permits, video clips will also be shown. The 501(c)3 nonprofit, Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County, a first of its kind kitchen, that will feed anyone in need, no questions asked, no paperwork required, is soon to cross the finish line after five years of planning and fundraising.

On Sunday, September 13, '20, 3-5 pm CDT, Harmony House Concerts is thrilled to welcome you to attend one of Curtis & Loretta's free virtual concerts performed in their home in Minnesota, rather than here in our rural NE Texas abode. Please join us in their Zoom Room at 2:30 (30 mins. prior to the concert) where they have prepared space especially for us all to experience being together with them and one another while being in the comfort of our own homes on our computers.

One morning last fall, I looked out in my yard and saw a sea of little white flowers with yellow centers growing in an area which, I admit, rarely received supplemental watering. I’ve seen this plant before and not been too concerned by it. The bees were drawn to it, and I like supporting our bees with nectar plants, so we just mowed the grass and let nature take its course. This fall, the plant has returned en masse and I have declared war on it – and it’s one tough plant!

The 2020 Bug Tussle Trek - Quarantine Edition - will be cruising through North Texas on Saturday, August 29. This annual highlight is a treat for automobile enthusiasts and photographers wanting to get that perfect shot of a Packard or Studebaker or one of the dozens of other vehicles that will caravan from Farmersville to Paris.

Little Skynyrd is an authentic Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band based in North Texas. The band is comprised of musicians who grew up with Skynyrd, love playing their music, and strive to keep their music alive.

The Bug Tussle Trek began by using American Antique Automobile Club Logo, because that was the organization with which they were all affiliated. Then after the first trip to Bug Tussle they eventually developed a logo that included two bugs pushing and pulling a big rock up a hill.

Saturday, August 29 the Trek will arrive in Bonham at about 10:00 a.m. and leave us for the drive to Bug Tussle at about 11:15, where tradition has it that cheerleaders lead the group in the Bug Tussle cheer.
