Fannin County -- As North Texas struggles through the coldest December day in more than a decade, the ice storm that blasted the area December 5 has left some residents without power.

Fannin County Clerk/PIO Tammy Biggar reports that the City of Ladonia is completely without power and advises that if your electric supplier that you purchase electricity from is not Oncor Electric, you must still contact Oncor to report the outage.

"You MUST have the 'ESI' number on your electric bill when you call this Oncor # 888-313-4747," Biggar advises.

"The City of Ladonia is setting up a warming center, expected to be at the Fire Department in town," adds Biggar. "A center can be opened north of Bonham. For more information call 2-1-1."

Commerce Police Department reports that the City of Commerce Emergency Management Staff in conjunction with the First Baptist Church is opening up a “warming station” for residents of Commerce who do not have electricity.  The First Baptist Church opened its doors at 1:00 p.m. Saturday and will remain open until 10:00 p.m. Saturday evening.  Operational hours for Sunday will be 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.  Please be advised this is a warming station only and is not intended for overnight stay.

Road conditions remain treacherous and travel is discouraged.
