The topic for Youth FIRST will be the Magnificent Monarch Migration on Saturday, September 7, 10 am at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. The leader for this month’s activities, Cindy Steele, explained that parallel programs will be offered, for two age groups, 4 – 7 and 8 -12. The program is open to the public, free of charge. Reservations are encouraged and may be made online at www.FriendsOfHagerman.com/Youth or by calling the Refuge, 903 - 786 - 2826. Drop-ins are currently being accepted also; parents or other responsible adult must accompany those children age 6 and younger. Participants will meet in the Visitor Center at the Refuge.
Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge is located at 6465 Refuge Road, Sherman, Texas. The Refuge provides over 11,000 acres for the protection of resident and migratory wildlife, especially birds. There is no charge for admission. Refuge lands are open daily from sunrise to sunset.
