Annie Lee Sutton

Honey Grove, Texas -- Annie Lee Sutton, 85, of Bonham, Texas went to be with her Lord on March 19, 2010, surrounded by her family at Wilson N Jones Hospital, Sherman, TX.  Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2010, at 11:00 A.M., in Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel, of Honey Grove, TX.   Officiating will be Rev. Roy  Burpo  and Rev. Brady Hacker.   Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery.   Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. 

Annie, born August 18, 1914, the daughter of Arthur and Doni Little Page; she married Willie Sutton in Oklahoma; they had four children.  She was known to all as “Granny.”  Annie loved to cook, quilt, and spend time with her family, which she cherished more than anything.  Annie loved her Lord first and foremost and was a member of the Lannius Church of God.

 

Annie is survived by son, Robert and wife, Donna Sutton, of Ravenna; daughter, Mary Whipple of Bonham; and son Harvey Sutton and wife Cindi, of Dallas, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.  Annie is also survived by 2 sisters, Beatrice Hix, Sash Community, and Mary Newland, of Amarillo, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Doni Little Page; her husband, Willie Sutton; brothers: Earlie, Charlie, Edgar, Louie, Ruben, Arthur, Clarence, Elmer Page, and Rayburn Wilkerson.  She was also preceded by sister Opal Shelton, daughter and son-in-law, Mavis and Billy Newhouse, and a grandson, Robert Sutton, Jr.
