Mozelle Caskey Rogers Ivy

Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Mrs. Mozelle Caskey Rogers Ivy, age 89 of Bonham, will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the Northside Church of Christ in Bonham. Mr. Carl Dye will be officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham. Mrs. Ivy passed away Friday at the Homestead of Denison. 

Mrs. Rogers Ivy was born June 1, 1920 in Sherman, Texas the daughter of Ernest and Trannie McMurry Caskey. She married Jack Rogers on November 11, 1940; he preceded her in death.  She married Merle Ivy on February 13, 1993 in Bonham, he preceded her in death. Mrs. Rogers Ivy was a longtime beauty operator in Bonham, and a longtime member of North Side Church of Christ. She will always be remembered as a devoted Christian mother, grandmother, and sister. 

Survivors are daughter Linda Leavell of Denison,Tx.,  Grandchildren, Erick Trusty and wife Tori, Emily Calfy and husband Raymond, Tausha Leavell, Eryka Leavell and Darrell, six gr.grandchildren, sister, Mildred Jennings of Bonham, brother, Jr. Caskey of Bonham, and sister Betty Fulton of Fresno, California, along with numerous nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Ivy was preceded in death by parents, husbands, sister Jimmie Lee Davidson, and son-in-law Bud Leavell.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Dunn, Steve Mohundro, Barry Frambes, Bobby Vaught, David Trout and Kenneth Cox.

Family will receive friends Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
