Arrangements By: Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard

Leonard, Texas -- Funeral services for Floyd Spencer Flanagan, 81-year-old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, February 7 at the Valley Creek Baptist Church near Leonard.  Rev. Leonard Freeman and Rev. Mack Swain will officiate.  Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery.  Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, February 6 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard. 

Mr. Flanagan was born April 20, 1928 at Delba, Texas.  His parents were J.T. Arthur and Lelia Ann Evans Flanagan.  He married Lola Cooper on October 4, 1952 at Bonham, Texas.  He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus’ Name at Leonard.  He passed away Thursday, February 4 at the LifeCare Hospital of Plano. 

He is survived by his wife:  Lola Mae Cooper Flanagan of Leonard; his daughter and son-in-law:  Christy Ann and Glen Edward Simmons II of Leonard; his sisters:  Delores Hutchins of Princeton, Dois LaGrone of Anna, Wanda Creahn and Faye Grounds of Ft. Worth and Mary Pitts of Van Alstyne; his brothers:  Kenneth (Pete) Flanagan, Lloyd Flanagan and Robert Watson all of Leonard; his grandchildren:  Andrew Caleb Spencer Simmons, Kelcie Ann Simmons and Natalie Rose Simmons all of Leonard; his sister-in-law:  Johnnie Grace Birchfield of Leonard; his brother-in-law:  Billy Cooper of Leonard. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Coy and Royce Flanagan) and two sisters (Dorothy Watson and Nell Nolen).0
