The Lady Hornets got off to a good start Tuesday night in their home opener vs. Slidell.  The Lady Hornets led at the end of the 1st quarter, 9-6, and at the end of the half, 27-22. 

Slidell came out strong in 3rd taking the lead 38-35 at the start of the 4th.  The DC squad fought hard but fell short in a 54-45 loss. 

Slidell was 10 for 10 at the line in the 4th quarter and 27-of-29 for the game. 

The Lady Hornets were led by Freshmen Alex Hilliard with 16 points, Christy Petty with 15 and Briann Hilliard with 14.  DC will travel to Trenton Friday night.
