Fannin County churches asked to donate for holiday gift baskets

It’s that time of year again, when we all come together to celebrate God and family at Christmas.  We like to spend time with the ones we love the most and we like to eat together.  Doesn’t just thinking about friends and family and food cause a warm feeling?

What if you have the friends and family, but not the food?

It seems like this year it is a much harder struggle for a lot of families due to our economic situation.  What can you do to help?  The Bonham Police Department and The Fannin County Family Crisis Center have joined forces to help make this a memorable holiday for all families.  We will be providing holiday gift baskets with a complete Christmas dinner.

All churches in the Fannin County area are being asked to help by donating cases of individual canned goods, such as green beans from one church and corn from another.

Please call the Crisis Center to inquire what particular canned good we would like from your congregation.  We are also asking everyone to donate financially any amount you can afford.

Applications must be filled out to qualify for a basket and are available at the Bonham Police Dept – please see Megan. You may contact the Bonham PD at 903-583-2141 or the Crisis Center at 903-593-7694 with questions or send a check donation to Bonham PD 301 E 5th St. Bonham, TX 75418.  Baskets will be passed out Saturday, December 19 from 9am – 12pm.
