Action got underway Thursday evening in the 2009 Campbell Invitational Basketball Tournament and the Bland Tigers earned a 53-45 win over the Ector Eagles in the first round.
Bland will play the winner of Campbell/Blue Ridge on Friday night as the tournament continues.
