Johnny's job is to Investigate fraud claims and to educate the public of insurance fraud by speaking to special groups.  He primarily works the civil side but does works close with the law enforcement agencies.

Adjusters are trained to see red flags on any claim they process and then in turn send it to the SIU for further investigation.

Insurance fraud is primarily auto -- about $100 billion a year -- and is the 2nd highest fraud committed and is a 3rd degree felony.  The number one fraud committed is income tax evasion.

On a recent survey 1 in 4 think that it is okay to over state the amount of loss in a claim.  Why do it?  They think it's easy.

There are different types of accidents:  "Staged" Where everyone is in on it then there's "Caused"  where someone  hit's their brakes and you rear end them, "Swoop & Squat," Vin Transfer," "Auto Theft" and "drug."

Mr. Neal stated that the auto theft in the Dallas area is 40-50 thousand cars a year.

Also, President John Farris inducted Emily Travis as our Secretary.

We would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!!
