The First Presbyterian Church of Bonham announced that Sally Simpson (on left), Habitat Board Member and FPC church member, presented Eva Fryar (on right), Habitat Board Secretary a check for $1,000.

Eva Fryar was happy to receive this donation at this time because Habitat for Humanity is starting a house in Leonard.  Fryar stated that this couldn't have come at a better time.  The house is being built on a "pay-as-you-go" basis.  More funding to finish the project is needed.  Most of  the donations received are used to help build houses, but there are also the "hidden" expenses in running an office such as paper supplies, phone and electricity, stamps, etc.

Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated as well.  They can be sent to Fannin County Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 125, Bonham, TX 75418.  For more information please call 903-640-1439 or go online at www.fanninhabitat.org or info@fanninhabitat.org.

Volunteers started working on Saturday, November 21 and will continue working every Saturday, weather permitting, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 109 South Parmele in Leonard.  All volunteers are welcome.  A few hours or all day, any amount of time you can spare is very helpful.

About Habitat for Humanity of Fannin County:  Habitat for Humanity of Fannin County, Texas is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, Christian housing organization.  Volunteers provide much of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses.
