Area Fannin County schools were presented $750 grants from Kwik Chek Food Stores/McCraw Oil Company through the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program. The schools which received the grants include: Finley-Oates, I.W. Evans, L.H. Rather, Bonham High School, Dodd City Elementary, Honey Grove Elementary, Leonard Jr. High, Savoy High School and Trenton Middle School.
The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational alliance grants to neighborhood schools.
ExxonMobil believes that, as members of the community, local retailers are best qualified to work with local educators to help identify schools and programs most in need of support.
Kwik Chek/McCraw Oil met stringent eligibility criteria before applying for and being awarded these grants including having a recognized commitment to provide a superior buying experience for their customers. Kwik Chek/McCraw Oil worked with school officials to secure the grants which there were 2,400 grants available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations.
