Charles Ray McGee, 76 of Garland, Texas passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 3, 2009 at Lakepointe Medical Center in Rowlett, Texas.

Graveside services will be held 2:00P.M. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Shiloh Cemetery north of Honey Grove, Texas. Rev. Terry Cunningham will be the officiant. No family visitation was scheduled. Military graveside honors will be given by the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. McGee was born May 9, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to parents, Samuel Patrick McGee and Myra Lorene Pass McGee. His mother was also known as Jerri. He married Doris Lillian Newhouse March 1, 1975 in Dallas, Texas. Mr. McGee was of the Baptist faith. He had been a security guard most recently at Texas Instruments. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years and received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Service Medal.

Charles is survived by his wife, Doris Lillian McGee of the home; daughter Debra Ruth Scoggins of Garland, TX. and grandson, Randall Garth Scoggins also of Garland; brother Howard McGee of Honey Grove and step-sister, Mary Frances Richman of Kentucky.
