With beautiful weather attracting shoppers to Trade Days, a new exhibit at Creative Arts Center, a great community-based thrift store with unbelievable prices and dozens of sites to see around town on a crisp fall day, all signs point to a busy weekend in Bonham.
Trade Days is a perfect place to start bargain hunting. Dozens of vendors and plenty of free parking, combined with the nicest weather is weeks, should make this event the center of activity in town.
This is a great chance to get some Christmas shopping done early this year. Trade Days will continue through Sunday, November 8. Trade Days is operated by Kiwanis Club of Bonham and all net proceeds go to help the youth of Bonham and Fannin County.
Second Time Around (www.2ndtimearound.us) is located at 301 N. Center Street in Bonham, just across the street from the Post Office and the spacious 4,000 square-foot building will offer second-hand furniture, antiques, glassware, shoes, clothing, small appliances along with some unusual contributions like the 1966 yellow mustang convertable that made a great tax-deducible donation. Several pieces of furniture have recently been donated to this remarkable thrift store.
Second Time Around is operated by the Fannin Community Foundation.
The Fannin Community Foundation also operates the Family Life Center and Creative Arts Center, two remarkable community projects.
And speaking of Creative Arts Center www.creativeartscenter.us, a new exhibit, Familiar Faces of Fannin County, will open this weekend. Creative Arts Center will be open until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
