The Whitewright Fall Festival holds lots of fun and activities for everyone! Included this year is a 4th Annual Classic Car Show hosted by Tom Bean SADD Club members and their parents. Students want to attend Leadership Camp in San Angelo in July, so they are doing what they can to help with the car show.
On Saturday, Nov. 7, the car show and bike run will be held in Whitewright on the corner of Sears and Walnut Streets. Registration runs from 9 to 11 am for cars, and 9:30 to 11 for bikers. Cost to enter the car show is $15. Bikers will be asked for a donation.
Awards being presented to cars include Top 20 Cars, Best of Show, People’s Choice and Principal’s Choice. There will be a 50-50 pot and food/drinks all throughout the festival.
The bike run begins with a card picked up from the registration table in Whitewright. Bikers will take the card to Emma’s Western Land Leather and Biker Apparel at 212 North Crockett in Sherman. They will receive a ticket from Keith there and ride back to Whitewright so they can put the ticket in for the drawing. Cackle and Oink has donated a Family Pack #4 to the biker that wins the drawing.
All proceeds will go to students in the Tom Bean SADD Club. SADD is a no-use organization led by students to help young people say “No” to drinking and substance abuse. The SADD message is one of caring, not judging.
