Those in the Bonham area who are ready to take the GED Exam should mark a calendar for Nov. 17.  The Grayson County College Testing Center will offer the exam that day, but reservations must be made between Nov. 9 and Nov. 12.

Contact the GCC Testing Center at 903-463-8724 to reserve a place.  Seating is limited and pre-registration is required.

A GED candidate must be a resident of Texas, must be officially withdrawn from school and must not have received a high school diploma from an accredited high school in the U.S.

Examinees will report to the Rayburn Collegiate Center at 1909 Highway 121 North in Bonham at 7:45 a.m.  Examinees must bring government-issued photo identification (Texas driver’s license, Department of Public Safety ID card, passport, military ID card), Social Security card (if they have a Social Security number), and $65 exact cash.  Seventeen year-old candidates must provide additional forms available from the GCC Testing Center.  Testing will last all day, from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a short break for lunch.  Examinees should bring a sack lunch and beverage.

Examinees will receive official GED scores (and diploma if passing scores are earned) directly from the Texas Education Agency about three weeks after testing.

For information or GED test dates at the GCC Main Campus in Denison, call 903-463-8724.
