Ector ISD is holding a Tax Rollback Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the school Cafetorium from 7:00am to 7:00pm.  This election is requesting an increase of the Maintenance and Operation tax rate from $1.04 to $1.17, an increase of .13 cents.

This tax increase will not raise homestead tax’s for homeowners 65 years of age and older.

Early voting will be from Monday, October 19, 2009 thru Friday, October 30, 2009.  Early voting will take place in the Superintendent’s office, weekdays from 8:00am to 3:30pm.  Packets for absentee voting can be picked up or mailed upon request at the Superintendent’s office, 1-903-961-5405 or Ector ISD PO Box 128, Ector, Texas 75439.

There will be a Public meeting on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 7:00pm in the school Cafetorium.  A presentation of the need for the tax increase with facts and figures will be given at this time and the Ector ISD Board of Trustee and Superintendent will be present to answer any questions concerning this election.  All eligible voters of the district are encouraged to attend this public meeting.

 AGAINST – means you are not in favor of the .13cents M&O tax increase
