We look forward to seeing you this Saturday for groundbreaking for our first Van Alstyne house! We have ordered beautiful weather with a little residual mud.

The groundbreaking will be held Saturday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m.  The address is 144 N. Dallas, Van Alstyne and the partner family is the Irma Gonzales family.

Directions: US Highway 75 South to Van Alstyne. Exit at FM 121 (aka Stephens Street/ Van Alstyne Parkway). Turn left (east). Go about one-half mile to North Dallas Street . Turn right (south) and look for the Habitat banner. The Van Alstyne public library has graciously allowed us to park in their rear lot, facing Dallas street.

Immediately following the groundbreaking, we will have an orientation meeting for new volunteers interested in helping build this house.

Time: about 11:00am

Address: Holy Family Catholic Church, 919 Spence Road, Van Alstyne

Directions: From Dallas Street, turn right (east) onto FM 121 (Stephens Street). At the next block, turn left (north) onto Highway 5. Go about one mile and turn left onto Spence Road. Holy Family is at the intersection of Spence Road and Greywood.

See you Saturday!
