Trenton competes in Annual Titus County Fair Invitational Cross Country Meet

The Trenton Tigers traveled to Mount Pleasant to compete in the Annual Titus County Fair Invitational Cross Country Meet Saturday morning.  The competition was filled with mainly larger schools but the Tigers competed well.  Alexis Somers finished first for the Lady Tigers in a time 13:50 for 22nd place in a field of 169 runners.  Carly Wappes placed 72nd in a time of 15:13.  Gaby Galvan finished 82nd with a time of 15:27 while teammate Victoria Yeager placed 95th in a time of 15:36.
 
The boys were led by John Holland crossing the finish line in 25th place with a time of 17:47 with Alex Meyer right behind him placing 26th with a time of 17:48.  Nick Frattarelli placed 146th (20:58) and Shane Welsch finished 162nd with a time of 22:46.
 
The Tigers will be on the course again next Saturday when they travel to Celina to compete in the Celina FCA Cross Country Invitational.
