Bonham, Texas - Fannin County Habitat for Humanity announced a $5,000 matching grant opportunity for cash gifts to its Honey Grove Construction Program.

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, all  cash donations to Fannin County Habitat's Honey Grove Construction Program for this fall will be matched dollar for dollar, until $5,000 in matching funds is reached. In other words, your $10 gift will add up to $20; your $100 will add up to $200; your $1,000 gift will add up to $2,000!

This fall you and Fannin County Habitat can boldly respond to the call for building simple, decent homes in Fannin County. Join us as we seek to raise the $100,000 we will need by fall of 2009 to provide more Habitat homes for hard working, deserving families in our county. Please help us meet our goal!

These homes will give our selected families a well-deserved hand-up, not a hand out. In partnership with Fannin County Habitat the families will invest several hundred "sweat equity" hours, a small down payment and then will receive a 20-year, no-interest mortgage. Their mortgage payments then roll into Habitat's Revolving Fund that helps build future Habitat homes in Fannin County.

About Habitat for Humanity of Fannin County: Habitat for Humanity of Fannin County, Texas is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, Christian housing organization. Volunteers provide much of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. I encourage you to call us today and be part of Fannin County Habitat!
