On Friday, June 13, Fannin County Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 405 S. Cedar Street in Leonard, Texas.  Recent undercover drug investigation revealed that Tyrone Cuban Simmons was operating from this residence and selling illegal narcotics.

Armed with three felony warrants and a search warrant for the residence, Fannin County Investigators, along with Leonard Police Department, arrived at the house.  Law enforcement personnel located and detained the occupants, Tyrone Cuban Simmons and his girlfriend, in the living room area.

A search of the house revealed approximately six ounces of marijuana and a large cache of US currency.

Narcotics Investigator David Thompson admits, "Inside this house was a well-established trafficking operation that has been in business for quite some time.  Taking Simmons into custody should result in a big decrease in traffic in this local neighborhood and we are hoping that the arrest will disrupt the illegal drug market throughout Fannin County."

Tyrone Cuban Simmons was arrested on four Felony charges of Delivery of Marijuana and transported to FCSO Jail where he remains on a $40,000 bond.   The money (exact amount not disclosed) and drugs, which the suspect Simmons admitted belonged to him, were taken from the residence and will be seized.

The investigation is continuing.
