At the May 14 meeting of the Bonham Rotary Club, Ray Havens and Caroline Todd, Director of the KOOL Lunch Program, gave the program. Last summer they reported that approximately 17,000 lunches were served and that they expect more this year. Something new that the program is providing this summer through the Fannin County Community Ministries is that some of the days they will have fruit smoothie drinks. This year's schedule is June 2 thruogh August 15.
At the end of the program, Bonham Rotary Club President Carl McEachern presented them with a check for $500. If you would like to donate to this worthwhile endeavor or if you would like to volunteer your time please call them at the Second Time Around Thrift Store at 903-640-4222 or the Creative Arts Center at 903-640-2196. All donations are tax deductible.
The Bonham Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Family Life Center.
