COMMERCE, TX -- The Marketing Communications department of Texas A&M University-Commerce was recently recognized for their publications by the Service Industry Advertising Awards (SIA Awards).
They received merit awards in both the Annual Report and Magazine Advertising-Series categories for the President’s Report and the Strategic Planning brochure respectively.
The Fall 2007 issue of Pride, the alumni magazine of A&M-Commerce, received top honors winning gold in the newsletter category.
“We were delighted to receive these prestigious awards,” said Randy Jolly, executive director of Marketing Communications. “Even more important to the Marketing Communications team is that these projects that were awarded such high honors are also highly effective in producing measurable results for the university.”
The SIA Awards are advertising awards dedicated solely to recognizing outstanding achievements in the service industry. This year alone SIAA received nearly 2,000 entries from a variety of industry leaders such as Verizon Wireless, Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, UPS, and the U.S. Army.
“The awards themselves aren’t as important to us as the recognition in the industry that we are turning out superior quality work,” Jolly said. “The awards that these projects received are also testimony to the great team work we enjoy in our department. I am really proud of everybody who had a hand in the development of these projects.”
