Wildwood Dean will once again be guest speaker at the Red River Historical Museum’s monthly Lunch Lecture Series on Friday, March 28th at 12:00noon.  His topic will be ANOTHER RED RIVER STORY!  Dean, author of “Treasure River,” has been caught up in Red River history since his childhood.

In 2002 he embarked on a 16-day, 400-mile canoe trip down the Red, interviewing people along the way, which resulted in “Treasure River.”

His latest book, “River of Dreams” is scheduled for release in early summer at which time the museum will host a book signing.

The museum, located at 301 S. Walnut in Sherman, encourages the public to bring a brown bag lunch to this free program; chips and drinks are complimentary.  The Jones Street door will be open for easy access to the lecture room.

The Lunch Lecture Series, along with other museum special events, is made possible through matching grants from the Sherman Council for the Arts & Humanities and the Friends of the Red River Historical Museum.

For more information call museum director, Marcia Rolbiecki, at 903-893-7623.
