Honey Grove, Texas -- Honey Grove was the place to be Saturday as a city known as "The Sweetest Town in Texas" celebrated the 31st Annual Davy Crockett Day with a full day of entertainment, including a car show, vendors and festival food. Some folks even had a chance to visit with a modern-day Davy Crockett.

Months of planning and perfect weather combined to bring a large crowd to historic downtown Honey Grove. This annual autumn festival featured more than 100 vendors, the most in the 31-year history of this event.

It was also an opportunity to show off some of the restoration that is occurring around the city square.
