THE BONHAM CITY COUNCIL WILL BE MEETING FOR THE PURPOSE OF

REGULAR MEETING
DATE OF MEETING: May 13, 2024

TIME OF MEETING: 5:30 P.M. – Regular Meeting
LOCATION OF MEETING: Bonham City Hall – 514 Chestnut

REGULAR MEETING AGENDA

Call to Order

1. Consider and take action to canvass returns of May 4, 2024 election.

2. Oath of Office for Council Members Elect administered by Notary Public.

3. Consider and take action to select Mayor Pro tem.

4. Oath of Office for Mayor Pro tem administered by Notary Public.

5. Consider and take action to approve minutes of the April 8th regular meeting.

6. Consider and take action to accept financial report for month ending April 30, 2024.

7. Citizens Opportunity to Speak: [The City Council invites persons with comments or observations to briefly address the Council for the limited purpose of determining whether the matter should be referred to staff for study and response and/or be placed on a future meeting agenda. Local practice limits comments to three (3) minutes or less. State law prohibits the City Council from considering deliberations on any item not listed on the posted City Council Agenda.

8. Consider and take action to award a bid for Dewatering Equipment Improvements (TDA VC21-0035 & HEI #158080).

9. Discussion and consideration on pending developments and amendments to various development ordinances, regulations and procedures within the City of Bonham Code of Ordinances.

10. Consider and take action on an appeal of the April 18, 2024 Planning and Zoning Commission decisions to waive the sidewalk and curb/gutter construction requirements for two properties located at 309 W 2nd St and 402 W 2nd St.

11. Consider and take action to appoint or reappoint individuals to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals.

12. Consider and take action to approve a budget amendment for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024.

13. Consider and take action to approve a bank depository contract.

14. Consider and take action to authorize staff to apply for a grant from the Texas General Land Office through the Resilient Communities Program.

15. Hold public hearing and consider and take action on an ordinance amending Ordinance 1429 providing for a fee schedule for solid waste collection services inside the city and at Lake Bonham.

16. Consider and take action to approve an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Bonham and Fannin County regarding maintenance.

17. Update Council on committee meeting regarding narrow streets.
