Greater Texoma Jazz Ensemble presents An Evening of Big Band Jazz

Sherman, Texas -- The Greater Texoma Jazz Ensemble, directed by Austin College emeritus music faculty Dr. Ricky Duhaime, will present its spring concert series An Evening of Big Band Jazz at Texoma locations throughout April.

Concert Schedule

April 22, 7 p.m. at Whitesboro First Baptist Church, Whitesboro, Texas

April 29, 7:30 p.m. at Grayson County College Cruce Stark Auditorium, Denison, Texas

The Jazz Ensemble is comprised of students, faculty, and community members from across northeastern Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. This season’s performances will include musical styles ranging from classic swing and ballads to contemporary Latin music and modern fusion.

An Evening of Big Band Jazz will feature soloists Chris Dickson playing alto saxophone; Andy Wright, Sydny Wright, and Hunter Thompson on tenor saxophone; Timothy Jenkins and Carson Cook on piano; Jesse Spear playing trombone; and Richard Burleson on drums.

All events are free and open to the public.
