Sherman, Texas -- GRAB YOUR GREEN and be a part of this lively, family friendly event in historic Downtown Sherman. The parade is an outstanding way to promote a business, get the word out about your community organization or nonprofit, promote an event, laugh and have a good time with family and friends.

You can be a kazoo band, a tricycle brigade, roller skating troop, decorated vehicle, dressed up dog walkers, equestrian group all decked out in shamrocks. If you can imagine it and its zany and family friendly and in the spirit of the day, you can add to hilarity of this event.

Paint green shamrocks on your horse and ride, or decorate an antique car – dress like a leprechaun and pass out candy coins for good luck. There’s no charge to sign up, just scan the QR code below to go to the sign up form.

After the parade and the award ceremony, make a day of it with an experience at Downtown Escape Rooms or visit the other eateries and establishments in Downtown Sherman such as The Wig and Gavel Pub, Ash & Barrel, The Milieu Wine Bar, Sage Café, Camino Viejo, Lupe’s World Famous Tamales, Tito’s Tacos or either of two wineries, Wall Street or Rio to Red where you can get a glass or take home a bottle or two.

You can make a day of it at the outstanding shops such as Designs by Janie, Pop Pop PopCorn, laurel e Boutique, Cozy Couture, the Interior Design Store, Merry Go Round or Upscale Thrift.

Stroll through A Touch of Class Antique Mall, Orchid Antiques or Knight’s Furniture to get that special something for your house. With a bag piper starting at 6:00 p.m., followed by an Irish band at 7:00, Old Iron Post will be throwing a St. Patrick’s celebration into the evening – come for the awards, stay for the pipes and the music!

This is the 5th annual St. Patrick’s Parade in Downtown Sherman and it is always a great time and gets bigger, costumes and ideas funnier, and the party spreads every year. There are awards in several categories and an after party and awards ceremony at Old Iron Post following the parade where the fun continues with Irish food and drinks!
