Grants totaling $117,600 will contribute to the overall vitality and business growth of the city

McKinney, Texas (Jan. 30, 2024) – The McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) is pleased to announce that they have awarded promotional grants for 2024 totaling $117,600 for promotion of events in McKinney that will support business development and tourism for the city. These grants are a testament to MCDC's commitment to enhancing quality of life for McKinney residents and our visitors.

MCDC Promotional and Community Event Grants are awarded each year for advertising and marketing activities to promote events that showcase the McKinney community. Following the submission of the grant applications, MCDC board members reviewed the funding requests and heard presentations from each applicant describing the impact of their proposed programs on the local community.

"The awarded grants will provide advertising and marketing resources for organizations to bring their events to life and make a positive difference in McKinney. The promotion of these events made possible by MCDC’s grant program will contribute to the vitality and economic growth of the city," said Angela Richardson-Woods, MCDC Board Chair.
