Bonham, Texas -- On Tuesday, November 28, at the Fannin County Commissioners Court meeting, following the invocation and pledge of allegiance, the award-winning BHS Vocal Ensemble will perform Christmas Carols as well as a sample of other Christmas songs that they will be presenting at their upcoming Christmas Concert.
Over the last 7 years, the BHS Vocal Ensemble has grown exponentially in numbers, in sound, and in experience.  They have consistently had students make it to UIL State competitions with Superior ratings and have become one of the top extracurricular courses in the county.
The Ensemble has a student who went to Australia to perform her vocals over the summer, two students will be performing with a vocal group at Carnegie Hall in NYC in February 2024, and one student even performing with a Choir group in London next summer. BHS Choir students have performed at a Mavericks game, six Rough Riders games, and made 2nd place Gold in San Antonio and in Nashville, TN competitions.
The Choir will be traveling to Orlando for the Heritage Music Festival and Competition in March 2024.  These students have worked extremely hard, and choir director Anna Waller could not be more proud.
