Anna Winter Recreation Guide is now available

Anna, Texas The City of Anna Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the release of its comprehensive Winter Recreation Guide, showcasing an extensive selection of programs and events scheduled from December through February.


This winter's guide showcases fun and adventure, offering an exciting array of classes and programs for the whole community. Don't miss the season's highlight; our "12 Days of Anna" events, designed to engage the community in a series of winter-themed activities, foster a strong sense of togetherness and joy all season.


Activities in the Winter Recreation Guide include:

  • Fri-Yay Monthly Drop-In Classes: Simple, free, seasonal-themed crafts are offered at the Municipal Complex and guided by the recreation team.
  • Pop-Up Rec Anna Fire Rescue: Meet your Anna firefighters, learn about fire safety, and see the trucks!
  • Pop-Up Rec Anna Police Department: Meet your Anna police, learn about their equipment, and see and hear the police cars!
  • Skyhawks Soccer Clinics: The soccer clinic offered by Skyhawks will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting, and ball control. Register for January and February sessions.
  • Yoga at the Park: The vinyasa-style yoga class will combine appropriately challenging postures and gentle stretching to increase strength.
  • Art 4 All Studio Art Lessons: Ongoing art lessons in clay, pottery, weaving, and drawing, presented by the Art 4 All Studio.
  • Nature Walk: Explore the natural beauty of Anna's parks while gaining insights from a Texas Master Naturalist.  
  • Dog Training: Turn dog walking into an enjoyable activity rather than a chore. Discover techniques for pleasant walks in a semi-private class, where you can introduce distractions.
  • Book Club (50+): Join us for discussions over the monthly book and its various themes.
  • Crafting Corner (50+): The crafting corner events include "Easy as Pie" Pie Plate Etching, Heart-Shaped Sachets, and creating an Easter Bunny Wreath.
  • Cruising with a Claus: Annual holiday toy drive hosted by the Anna Police Department benefiting children k-5th grade in Anna. Accepted items include gift cards, new unwrapped toys, and youth jackets.
  • Operation Santa: Joined by Anna Firefighters, Santa will make his way around Anna to visit neighborhoods and interact with children and families along the way.
  • Beginning of "12 Days of Anna" Activities: The 12 Days of Anna begins on December 2, 12 days filled with community holiday festivities and family-friendly fun.
  • NFL Playoff Bracket Competition: Play the 2024 City of Anna NFL Playoff Bracket Challenge and predict the winner of every playoff game. The winner will receive a prize!
