Dallas-based children’s charity will also benefit
from center’s spring Alley Market

Dallas, Texas -- Each month, Galleria Dallas partners with a local charity or initiative to create a Gallery Wall within the center that showcases the mission of that organization. This April, Galleria Dallas will partner with Bryan’s House, a Dallas-based children’s charity that works with medically fragile, special-needs children in seven North Texas counties.  The nonprofit is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year serving children and their families.

The Bryan’s House Gallery Wall will be on display April 1-30, 2023, on Level 1 of the center across from Apple. The wall details the mission of Bryan’s House and will serve as a call to action for community members to get involved with the charity, whether through financial donations or through volunteer work.  Powered by Orchid Giving Circle, the wall will feature information on how to get help if your family is in need in four different languages, representing the breadth of cultures the agency serves.

Bryan’s House was founded in 1988, at the peak of the HIV/AIDS crisis, to care for children suffering from that dreaded, often fatal infection. Named for an 8-month-old local boy who was one of the first area children to die from the disease, the organization has served more than 15,000 children. These days, there are fewer children born with HIV/AIDS, and treatment is significantly more effective, so Bryan’s House has pivoted to care for other children with special medical needs.

“We love that Galleria Dallas helps important nonprofits in North Texas extend their reach, both to families in need of services and to potential donors and volunteers,” said Abigail Erickson-Torres, CEO of Bryan’s House. “We feel incredibly blessed to be able to feature Bryan’s House at the center during our 35th year of helping the children of this community.”

Bryan’s House will also be the charity beneficiary of Galleria Dallas’ spring Alley Market, which takes place April 21-22. At the market, more than a dozen local vendors will sell a unique mix of merchandise in the center’s outdoor Alley near The Blue Fish. Ten percent of the market’s sales will benefit Bryan’s House.

“Bryan’s House has been a powerful force for good in North Texas for 35 years,” said Megan Townsend, Director of Marketing for Galleria Dallas. “We are excited to help build awareness for its worthwhile mission and to support it financially with our Alley Market.”
