Conroe, Texas -- Funeral services were held September 19,2022 at The Woodlands Christian Church for Allen Quinn "Tinker" May of Conroe. Burial followed at Brookside Cemetery in Houston.

Allen passed away September 6, 2022. He was born January 20, 1948, to Forrest and Anna Lee Landham May in Bonham, Texas. A member of the 1966 class of Bonham High School; he also graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University.

In 1976 he married Doris Ashford. He was manager of the Titus County Civic Center for several years. In 1988 he became a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and retired with 20 years service. He attended The Woodlands Christian Church where he was a very active volunteer and member of the Saturday morning mens’ Bible Class.

Surviving are his wife Doris and two sons, Quinn and Bret; sister, Wanda Spivey of Belleville, Ill., sister-in-law, Nadine Wix of Bonham; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Wilma, Bradford “Buddy”, Gene and Rickey and sisters, Melba and Elizabeth.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of A Sacred Choice Funeral Home of Houston.
