Sherman, Texas -- First United Bank-Sherman Taylor Street has been awarded the prestigious Sustainability Leadership Design Award from CoreNet Global – North Texas, the world’s leading professional association for corporate real estate (CRE) and workplace executives, service providers, and economic developers. The Sustainability Leadership Award celebrates work that accelerates the adoption of environmentally friendly and socially responsible real estate practices.

The Sherman Taylor Street building was designed in partnership with global architecture firm Gensler and was integrated with the bank’s greater purpose of inspiring and empowering others to spend life wisely. The space creates an inviting community environment using sustainable materials and practices and includes innovative and collaborative elements such as a coffee and learning lounge, a tech table, and a community room that is available to the public. This location offers commercial real estate, commercial/retail banking, investments and insurance, and mortgage services under one roof.

“We are thrilled to have received this award. Sherman Taylor Street is a beautiful building and the space and opportunities it provides for our stakeholders truly will inspire positive change,” said Greg Massey, CEO of First United.
