As part of Bonham ISD’s practices to respond to COVID-19, we are alerting all Warrior families and fans that the district has been notified a student who has been test-confirmed to have COVID-19 was present at Bonham High School facilities on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

Due to the number of students determined to be in close contact, Bonham ISD will be canceling the following extracurricular events:

• Friday, October 16 – Pep rally and varsity football game at home against Mt. Vernon

• Thursday, October 22 – JV football game at home against Pottsboro

• Friday, October 23 – Varsity football game at Pottsboro
Campus administrators are currently contacting the parents/guardians of all students determined to be in ‘close contact’. We anticipate all families to be notified by late this afternoon.

Close contact is defined by TEA as being directly exposed to infectious secretions from a test confirmed individual OR being within 6 feet of a test confirmed individual for a largely uninterrupted or sustained extended contact period throughout the course of the day of approximately 15 minutes. Additional factors like case/contact masking (both individuals wearing a mast), ventilation, presence of dividers and case symptomatology may affect this determination.

For individuals who have already purchased a ticket for the game this Friday against Mt. Vernon, it will be honored at the Friday, October 30 home game against Howe.
