Bonham, Texas -- Graveside services for Mary Ann Williams, 84, will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, July 25, at Willow Wild Cemetery. Her son David Ray Williams will officiate. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mary Ann pass away at Mullican Care Center on Thursday morning, July 23. Mary Ann fought a spirited battle with Alzheimer's for the last 6 years.

She was born Mary Ann Stovall to Doc C. and Eva Sharkey Stovall in Raymondville, Texas on September 29, 1935. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1953 and soon after married her high school sweetheart, Jesse Ray Williams on July 30, 1954. Ray’s career took them and their three children to homes in Texarkana, Austin, Brownwood and finally settling in Bonham.

Once her children were in school in Bonham, Mary Ann began working at deRose industries. She later began a lengthy career with 1st National Bank, which late became American Bank. She retired from American Bank in 1999 as Vice president/Loan Officer. In her spare time she was an avid golfer, bridge player and excellent cook.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught children’s Sunday school.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, and daughter, Kathryn Williams. She is survived by her son, David Ray (Tammie) Williams and her daughter, Diane (David) Adams. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Jon Kirkpatrick, Zach Williams, and Keli Kirkpatrick all of Bonham along with Brooke Barker of Elwood and Hunter Adams of Greenville. She also leaves eleven great-grandchildren: Joli, J.r. and Landon Kirkpatrick; Ava, Jack and Pierce Williams, Gus, Max and Ali Barker; Laila Kirkpatrick and Luke Williamson; and one sister Peggy Stovall of Alton Illinois
