Dodd City scored two runs in the first inning, plated a pair of runners in the second, and then put the game out of reach with four runs in the third inning.

The Hornets added two runs in the bottom of the fifth to earn a 10-0 win in the series opener.

In game two, Brayden Vaught hurled a four-hitter and the Dodd City bats backed him up with a dozen hits.

Vaught aided his own cause with three hits and a pair of RBIs.

Zayne Kennon drove in three runs with two hits.

Kason Carson had a home run and three RBIs.

Jason Turner had three hits.

Dodd City wasted no time in putting away game two.  The Hornets scored three runs in the top of the first and then came right back with seven runs in the second inning en route to a 13-3 rout in six innings.
