Bonham, Texas -- Wind, rain and Father Time joined forces to claim a building on the north side of the Bonham Square, the second building on this side of the square to suffer extensive damage in recent years.

A vacant building located at 123 East 5th Street suffered extensive damage Saturday, April 13, 2019. The stability of these buildings impacts other nearby buildings and the business located just to the west of 123 East 5th also has a small hole as a result.

No injuries were reported.

Bonham Fire Chief Scott Ridling believes that wind and rain were contributory factors in the partial collapse of the century-old building.
